There's a word I've been sitting with lately: audacity.

Not the version that gets misused. The loud, ego-driven, "I'll do what I want" version. I'm not talking about that.

I'm talking about the other one. The quieter one. The one that doesn't announce itself.

Audacity as a standard. As a posture. As a decision you make internally before anyone else even knows you've made it.

Not arrogance. Audacity. There's a critical difference.

Arrogance assumes it knows better. Audacity simply acts on what it already knows.

Arrogance forces a door. Audacity reads the room, sees the gap, and walks through it.

That's audacity. Quiet. Precise. Deliberate.
